VIERA NeoPDP Overview
NeoPDP is a new Panasonic technology for 2009 that improves the picture on Plasma screen televisions.
This technology has been made possible by new circuit design, cell design and new materials.
The benefits are much improved energy efficiency, slimmer design and higher picture quality.

Smoother, sharper motion during action scenes
HD TVs produce incredible quality images, but at high speeds, details can become blurred. A prime example would be a ball in a tennis or football match. 600Hz NeoPDP aimes to drastically reduce problems with motion blur and is used in VIERA televisions. You'll notice smoother motio, deeper blacks and increased luminance with a Panasonic TV that has NeoPDP.
NeoPDP TVs use 600Hz Sub-field drive and intelligently create frames to up the number of frames you see and take out the blur.
NeoPDP and Freesat HD
NeoPDP works in conjunction with Freesat HD - a free service which has no subscription charges and allows you to watch HD and freeview channels via a satellite dish. Although there is an installation fee for the dish. NeoPDP combines with Freesat to offer unbeatable motion, even in fast action scenes.
